GBA named in Top 100

Time critical logistics operator GBA Services has been named in the Motor Transport Top 100 Operators for the first time in its 30-year history. The company entered at position 82, representing the 2nd highest new entrant this year, and is one of the only time critical operators to be listed in the report. GBA was also ranked 35th for Growth in Turnover after the company achieved a 8.93% rise in 2016 vs. 2015.

As part of the feature the analysts also look at the industry as a whole. They stated: “More than one third of the Top 100 saw year-on-year turnover fall and almost half saw a year-on-year fall in pre-tax profit. Average turnover growth rate for the industry was calculated at just 1%”. GBA’s performance against this backdrop is therefore particularly impressive. GBA Services’ Managing Director and Founder, David J. Birkbeck, comments: “It’s great to make the Top 100 list for the time, but it’s even more pleasing to see how we outperformed much larger and more established market players. Now that we’re on the Top 100 radar, I’m already looking forward to next year’s report as we’re currently on course for 20% growth this year. Solving logistics problems is in our DNA, but so is our ambition and commitment to harnessing growth opportunities which has been underlined by our recent expansion into Germany and Portugal”.

The Motor Transport Top 100 Operators feature ranks the largest operators of commercial vehicles in the UK; by turnover; by pre-tax profit and by employee numbers and is a well-recognised and piece of analysis conducted on an annual basis.
